• Tank Data: Water parameters, livestock records, maintenance logs, photos, coral observations, quarantine plans, and any other data you enter about your aquariums.
• Service Pro Data: If you use Service Pro features, we collect client contact information, visit schedules, field reports, and GPS check-in/check-out locations that you provide.
• Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by a third-party provider. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and push notification tokens.
• Usage Data: Features used, screens viewed, timestamps, and interaction patterns to improve the Service.
• Log Data: IP address, browser type, access times, and referring URLs when visiting our website.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

• AI Analysis: When you use AI-powered features (such as parameter analysis on the Ultimate tier), your tank data may be sent to third-party AI service providers (e.g., Google Gemini) for processing. We send only the minimum data necessary for analysis and do not share personally identifiable information with these providers.
• Google Maps: If you use location-based features (e.g., Service Pro client addresses, route planning), location queries are processed through Google Maps APIs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Process your account registration and manage your subscription
• Send you notifications about your tanks (parameter alerts, maintenance reminders, treatment milestones)
• Generate recommendations and AI-powered insights about your aquarium
• Provide Service Pro features including visit scheduling, route optimization, and client management
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, organization invites)
• Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
• Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve the Service
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: We share data with third-party vendors who help us operate the Service, including cloud hosting (Google Cloud Platform), email delivery (SendGrid), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), and AI analysis (Google Gemini). These providers are bound by contractual obligations to keep your information confidential.
• Organization Members: If you belong to an organization (e.g., a service business), other members of that organization may see shared tank data, visit information, and reports as necessary for the organization's operations.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, or ensure the safety of our users.
• Business Transfers: If Reef Bulldog is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored on servers hosted by Google Cloud Platform in the United States.
• All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption.
• Passwords are hashed using Argon2, an industry-leading algorithm.
• Authentication uses JWT tokens with configurable expiration.
• We implement access controls, regular security reviews, and monitoring to protect your data.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

Tank data, parameters, photos, and other content you create will be deleted along with your account unless otherwise required by law.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data.
